WORK PERFORMANCE OF CIVIL EMPLOYEES IN RANTEANGIN SUB-REGENCY OFFICE, NORTH KOLAKA REGENCY

Abstract

This research was aimed to identify and analyze the work performance of the civil employees in Rante angin Sub-regency Office, North Kolaka Regency. This is a descriptive qualitative research. There are eleven respondents involved in this research. The data collection techniques used are direct observation and direct interview. The data analysis includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion making.

The results show that many civil employees are not responsible for their tasks and office provisions. They are not discipline. Moreover, there is no strict penalty for those who are not discipline. The quality of their working performance is low due to the working environment. The placement of the employees is not in conformity with the employees’ educational background. The employees’ initiatives of working on their tasks are low. The head does not provide enough suggestions for the employees. The team work is underdeveloped because most of the employees are busy with their own business during an event.
