This research investigated “The Effects of Using English Songs on The Student’s Pronunciation at Seven Grade in MTs Negeri 1 Kolaka “. The research problem of this research was “is there any effect of used English songs on the student’s pronunciation at seven grade of MTs Negeri 1 Kolaka?” The objective of the research was to find out whether or not used English songs has effect to the student’s pronunciation at seven grade of MTs Negeri 1 Kolaka.

The design of this research was Pre – experimental with One – group Pre – test post – test Design. The instruments that used in this research were pronunciation test and video recording. Sample of this research were the students in MTs Negeri 1 Kolaka, consist of 20 students at seven grade especially class VII Perhatian. Based on the result of the research it was found that the mean score of post-test (65,95) was higher than the mean score of pre-test (62,25). The standard deviation of post-test (5.266) was higher than the standard deviation score of pre-test (5.149). To saw using English song gave an effect towards the students’ pronunciation, the researcher used tcount. The researcher then compared tcount and ttable. The result was tcount(5.692) was higher than ttable(2,093) at the significant level 0,5 and degree of freedom = 19. It means that H1was accepted and H0was reject. It can be concluded that there was an effect of using English songs on the students’ pronunciation at seven grade in MTs Negeri 1 Kolaka.

Improving the Students’ Ability to write Descriptive Paragraph through Estafet Writing Method at the Second Grade of SMP Negeri 2 Pomalaa

            This reserach was designed to improve the students’ ability to writea descriptive paragraph through estafet writing method. Estafet writing method was selected because it provided a clear description about something described in the context or illustration more vividly than words. The problem of the research is “How can estafet writing method improve the students’ ability to write descriptive paragraph through estafet writing method at the second grade of SMP Negeri 2 Pomalaa”.

This reserach was focused on the using of estafet writing to writedescriptive paragraph. The design of the reserach was collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). It means that when doing the research, the reseracher collaborated with one of the English teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Pomalaa. The subject of this research was class VIIIA in academic year of 2016-2017. It consists of 20 students. The instruments used in the reserach were writing test and observation sheets. In collecting data, the researcher gave test in the cycle one until cycle two.

The result of this research showed that estafet writing method could improve the students’ ability to write descriptive paragraph through estafet writing method at the second grade of SMP Negeri 2 Pomalaa. It could be seen the result of wriitng test in each cycle and result of observation sheets (non test) in each meeting from the average score of improving of the students’ ability in writing descriptive paragraph by estafet writing method. In cycle one the average score was 51 or 25% there were 5 of 20 students’ achieved the criteria of success. This average score increased to be 71.55 or 80% in the cycle two. There were 16 of 20 students who achieved the criteria of success. It means that they had achieved the criteria of success. While the result of students’ activities (non test) average score in cycle one was 3.8 (low) in the first meeting, 4.1 (average) in the second meeting and 4.8 (average) in the third meeting. The cycle two was 5.7 (average) in the first meeting, 7.7 (good) in the second meeting and 10.9 (good) in the third meeting. The result of teacher activities average score in cycle one were 5.6 (average) in the first meeting, 8 (average) in the second meeting and 8.6 (good) in the third meeting. And the result of the teacher activities average in cycle two were 8.6 (good) in the first meeting, 10 (good) in the second meeting and 12 (very good) in the third meeting. From the average score above, there was increasing in every meeting, so it is recommended that this method could be used either in writing skill or other skills.

This research is based on the problem that is still used the teaching method where the teacher is still the learning centre so that the mathematical connection ability of the students is not good, the researcher offers the learning model which is considered able to improve students’ mathematical connection ability, that is Treffinger model. This study aims to determine the ability of Mathematical Connection between Students who were taught by Using Learning Model Treffinger with Conventional Learning Model in Grade VII Students SMP Negeri 05 East Poleang. This type of research is an experiment with Post-Test Design Only Control Design. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 05 East Poleang year 2016/2017 in class VII even semester. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, the data of mathematical connection ability of students who taught by Treffinger model has the lowest value of 75, the highest value 100 with the average value of 77.2, standard deviation 6,7601, and the variance 45,7. Whereas the ability of mathematical connections of students who were taught with conventional models obtained had the lowest value of 35 with the highest score of 70 with an average of 42.7, standard deviation 4.88, and variance 23.867. Furthermore, the result of testing based on hypothesis testing by using t-test for two free samples (two-party manual test) obtained that: tcount = 51,339> tTable = 1,943 at significance level α = 0,05 and dk = 46 Because thitung> tTabel or 51,339> 1,943 this means thitung is within the acceptance criteria of H1 thus H0 is rejected. For that, it can be concluded that the ability of mathematical connections of students who are taught by Treffinger learning model better than the ability of mathematical connections of students who were taught with conventional models.

This research is an experimental research with the aim to know (1) mathematics learning result of students of X MAN 1 Kolaka class which is taught by using Group to Group Exchange learning model; (2) mathematics learning result of X MAN 1 Kolaka class students taught by using conventional learning model; (3) whether the Group to Group Exchange learning model is more effective than the conventional learning model on learning outcomes. The hypothesis of this research is that the average of mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by using Group to Group Exchange learning model is more effective than the result of learning mathematics students are taught with conventional learning models. The population in this study is all students of class X which is spread in 5 parallel classes with the number of 196 people. Class sampling is done by using simple cluster random sampling technique. The simple cluster random sampling technique is to take two classes randomly to determine the control class and the experimental class, with the research sample from the two classes totalling 73 people. Data retrieval is done by means of learning result test and observation sheet which then used to obtain data on student learning result of mathematics. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of empirical research (descriptive) showed that (1) the average of learning outcomes of mathematics students of class X.3 taught by Group to Group Exchange learning model consisting of 38 students showed the minimum value of 71, the maximum value of 85, the mean (mean) 75.26, with a variance of 17.17 and a standard deviation of 4.14; (2) the average of mathematics learning to result of grade X.1 students taught with conventional learning model consisting of 35 students showed minimum score 65, maximum score 80, mean (mean) 69,69, with variance 14,93 and standard deviation 3.86; (3) through analysis of observation sheet of teacher activity and student activity in both research classes have shown active criterion with mean percentage equal to 70% – 80%. Inferential research using t-test has been obtained value = 5.93> 1.99, then H0 rejected and H1 accepted. From the results of this study can be concluded that the results of learning mathematics students with model learning Group to Group Exchange better than both the conventional learning model in the MAN class X MAN 1 Kolaka.

               The type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) or Classroom Action Research. The purpose of this research is to improve mathematics learning result of students of private MTs Arrahimiyah through constructivism model of scaffolding method.

The problem formulation in this research is “whether the application of constructivism learning scaffolding method can improve mathematics learning result of students of private MTs Arrahimiyah?” The research was conducted in April 2017. The subjects in this study were the students of class VIII MTs Swasta Arrahimiyah Bombana Regency. This research is conducted in 2 cycles with the research procedure: (a) Conducting planning to carry out the learning process, (b) Implementing the action in accordance with the planning that has been made, (c) Conducting observation to the student and to the teacher during the action process, (d) Conduct evaluation / tests on students for each cycle, (e) Reflect and analyze shortcomings and weaknesses during cycle I to plan actions in cycle II.

The result of the research is the action of the cycle I, the students’ learning outcomes increase from the average score of the preliminary test before the action is 68, 05 to 74,4 or with 75% completion percentage that is 15 from 20 students get value ≥70, shows success in accordance with predetermined success indicators. And on the second cycle action, the results obtained are as many as 17 students get the value of ≥70 with an average value of 83.05 or with the percentage of 85%.

From the results of research on the action cycle I and cycle II can be concluded that the results of learning mathematics class VIII MTs Private Arrahimiyah Year Teaching 2016/2017 on basic competencies identify the characteristics of cubes and beams and determine the area and volume through the model of constructivism learning scaffolding method can be increased.

The problem of this research is (1) whether there are an increase of mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using Knisley learning model with brainstorming method, (2) whether there is an increase of mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using conventional learning model, (3) students class IX SMP Negeri 1 Watubangga after being taught using Knisley learning model with brainstorming method is more effective than the result of learning mathematics students after being taught using conventional learning model.

The population in this study is all students of class IX SMP Negeri 1 Watubangga academic year 2017/2018. IX.a, IX.b, and IX.c in this study the sample was taken using cluster random sampling, with the technique obtained class IX.a as the experimental class by using Knisley learning model with brainstorming method and IX.b as control class with using conventional learning models.

Based on pre-test and post-test result in experiment and control class there is the improvement of learning outcomes where improvement of learning the result of experimental class mathematics = 0,375 including medium category and improvement of learning the result of control class = 0, 2699 including low category. The result of hypothesis analysis is tcount> ttable (3,423> 2, 0129). The result of pre-test experimental class average analysis = 60, 1396, posttest = 74,78 and control class = 60,3471, post-test = 71,2892. This means that the results of mathematics learning of students who obtained the material using Knisley learning model with brainstorming method are more effective than the result of teach mathematics students who obtained the material using conventional learning model.

Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that there are improvement of students’ mathematics learning outcomes in experimental class and control class and mathematics learning result of students who get the material using Knisley learning model with brainstorming method is more effective than mathematics learning result of students obtaining material using conventional learning model.

This research is an experimental research with the aim to megetah (1) the result of learning mathematics of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 West Poleang before being taught by using cooperative learning model of CORE type in teaching of set; (2) the result of learning mathematics of VII students of SMP Negeri 25 West Poleang after being taught by using cooperative learning model of CORE type in teaching of set; (3) whether there is an improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of students after being taught using cooperative learning model of CORE type in teaching of set. The hypothesis in this research is that there is an improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of students after being taught by using cooperative learning model of CORE type in the teaching of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Poleang Barat.

The population in this study is all students of class VII with the number of 22 people. Sampling is done by using saturated sampling where taken as an experimental class. The sample of the research is the students of class VII with the number of 22 people. Data retrieval is done by means of learning result test which then used to obtain data on student learning result of mathematics. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The result of inferential research using one sample t-test has obtained tcount = 8,116 on the sig. = 0,000 <α = 0.05 indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, inferentially this means that there is a significant difference between the mathematics learning outcomes of students after being taught by cooperative learning model type CORE and before being taught by cooperative learning model of CORE type. From the results of this study can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after learning taught using cooperative learning model type CORE in teaching the set of students of class VII SMP Negeri 25 West Poleang.

This research is experimental research with the aim to find out whether the implementation of Learning Cycle 5E learning model is more effective than conventional learning model of mathematical critical thinking ability of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Lambandia.

The population in this study is the entire class X SMA Negeri 1 Lambandia academic year 2016/2017 spread in 3 classes with the number of 81 students. Sampling was done by using Cluster Random Sapling technique, obtained by two research classes, that is experiment class and control class. The sample of the research from both classes amounted to 54 people. This data collection technique uses to test and observation techniques. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.

The results of empirical research (descriptive) indicate that; (1) Mathematical critical thinking ability of experiment class students (X.2) taught using Learning Cycle 5E learning model consisting of 27 students showing minimum value 41, maximum score 54, mean 44,96, variance 11,499, and standard deviation 3,391; (2) students’ critical mathematical thinking skills (X.3) taught using a conventional learning model consisting of 27 students showing a minimum value of 35, a maximum value of 46, a mean of 41.74, a variance of 8.123, and a standard deviation of 2,850; and (3) the average percentage of teacher activity and student activity in the class using Learning Cycle 5E learning model is 77% and 76,66%, respectively. While the average percentage of teacher activity and student activity in classes taught by conventional learning model are 76, 33% and 71,33% respectively.

Inferential research using t-test has been obtained significant value = 0,000 <α = 0.05 indicates that H0 rejected and H1 accepted, so it can be concluded the implementation of Learning Cycle 5E learning model is more effective than conventional learning model of students’ mathematical critical thinking skills class X SMA Negeri 1 Lambandia.

This study aims to: (1) To know whether by using the learning model Reciprocal Teaching students’ mathematics learning on the material of cube and beam can achieve mastery or not; (2) To find out whether by using the conventional learning model the result of student’s mathematics learning on cube and beam material can reach mastery or not; (3) To find out whether the result of learning mathematics of students taught by using Reciprocal Teaching learning model is better than using conventional learning model on cube and block material.

This type of research is a type of experimental research conducted with Cluster Random Sampling sampling technique, Techniques used in data collection, among others, by using the method of documentation and tests, from the method of documentation can be obtained data about students of class VIII MTs Al-Hidayah Tosiba , before the test is given to the student in advance the test is tested for validity and reliability test.

Based on the results of research that has been done can be concluded that a) The average result of learning mathematics of students who taught by using the learning model Reciprocal Teaching on the material of cube and beam achieve minimum completeness criterion (KKM) that is 60 seen from tℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔> 𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 with dk = n – 1 and 1-α probability where 4.950> 1.699; b) The average of mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by using Reciprocal Teaching learning model on cube and beam material that reaches the minimum completeness criterion (KKM) 60 reaches 75% seen based on criteria Zℎ𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔> Z𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 with α 5% that is 1,992> 0,9744 ; c) The average mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model is more effective than the conventional learning model where the average experimental class is 67.5 while the control class average is 56.

This research is an experimental research with the aim to know: (1) students ‘mathematical communication ability before applying of learning model of Think Pairs and Share (TPS), (2) students’ mathematical communication ability after applied Think Pairs and Share (TPS) model, and (3) Significant influence on students’ mathematical communication ability after applied Think Pairs and Share (TPS) learning model.

Population in this research is all student of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Tanggetada teaching 2016/2017. Class sampling is done by using Total Sampling technique. This data collection technique uses observation, and test techniques. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.

The results of empirical research (descriptive) showed that students’ mathematical communication skills before being taught using Think Pairs and Share (TPS) learning model consisting of 26 students showed mean value 76, with variance 50,240, and deviation standard 7.088 students’ mathematical communication abilities after being taught using the Think Pairs and Share (TPS) learning model show the mean value 89.420, with variance 82,494 and standard deviation 9,083. This shows that students ‘mathematical communication ability after being taught with Think Pairs and Share (TPS) model has significant influence compared to students’ mathematical communication ability before being taught by Think Pairs and Share (TPS) model. Furthermore, inferential statistical results of hypothesis testing by using t-test have obtained values ​​(13.699)> (0.168), indicating that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected, inferentially this means that there is a significant influence on students’ mathematical communication skills before being taught by model of learning Think Pairs and Share (TPS) and students’ mathematical communication skills after being taught using Think Pairs and Share (TPS) model on Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tanggetada. From the results of this study can be concluded that there is the improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills after being taught with the model of Think Pairs and Share (TPS) Class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Tanggetada.
