19 Poleang Barat. Specially to describe in each cycle how humorous story improve students’ vocabulary mastery. This Study was focus on the students` vocabulary mastery through humorous stories at the second grade of SMP Negeri

19 Poleang Barat. The significances of the study could could gave information about the level of the students’ vocabulary mastery and the writer hopes the study that make humorous story technique in the teaching and learning vocabulary would be useful for the teachers, the students and the school.The design of the study, the writer was apply classroom action research design. It was intended to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery through humorous stories. The setting of this study was SMP N 19 Poleang Barat and the subject of the study was class VIII in academic year 2017/2018. This Study was conducted on July, 17th 2017 until August, 12th 2017, at the second grade of SMP N 19 Poleang Barat.The improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery could be seen from the first cycle after using humorous story to the students got 72,5. 44, in first cyle only 8 of18 students got score greater or equal 75, it is mean only 44,44% students suuccess in the first cyle In the second cycle the students ‘average score also found increase become 83,9, 44, in first cyle only 16 of 18 students got score greater or equal 75, it is mean only 88,88% students suuccess in the second cyle.
